Wes has advised clients in high stakes litigation and bet the company cases in a variety of matters. 

  • Served as lead defense counsel for a jewelry manufacturer in consumer class action cases filed in jurisdictions across the United States
  • Served as lead defense counsel in cases against healthcare institutions and charitable organizations involving invasion of privacy and defamation claims
  • Member of a team that served as national coordinating counsel in products liability cases against a lithium-ion battery manufacturer
  • Served as defense counsel in litigation in both state and federal court involving pharmaceutical products and medical devices, consumer products, crop science technology, and perfluorinated chemicals
    • Member of four trial teams in pharmaceutical product liability bellwether trials
    • Experience in research, writing, and Daubert briefing
    • Experience in taking and defending fact and expert witnesses depositions
    • Experience in expert witness preparation
    • Experience in addressing and resolving electronic discovery issues
    • Experience in coordinating and managing written discovery in multi-district litigation
  • Has advised companies and their officers and directors on a broad range of issues regarding litigation risk–reduction strategies, commercial contracts, fiduciary duties, and corporate compliance matters
  • Has conducted and participated in internal investigations on behalf of corporate boards and board committees into allegations of possible misconduct involving privacy and data breaches, securities fraud, bank fraud, and accounting irregularities
